Holy Week | Calendar of Events

"On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord." - John 12:12-13

Holy Week, also known as Passion Week, is a significant period in the Christian liturgical calendar commemorating the final week of Jesus Christ's life on earth, leading up to his crucifixion and resurrection. We begin this week with Palm Sunday, marking Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem, celebrated with the waving of palm branches.

Maundy Thursday follows, commemorating the Last Supper where Jesus instituted the sacrament of Holy Communion and washed the feet of his disciples. Good Friday observes the crucifixion of Jesus, reflecting on his suffering and sacrifice for humanity's sins.

Holy Saturday is a time of reflection and anticipation, as Christians await the joyous celebration of Easter Sunday, commemorating Jesus' resurrection from the dead.

Throughout Holy Week, our church will engage in various services and acts of devotion; reflecting on the central themes of faith, redemption, and renewal. Below you will find our 7 Day Calendar for Holy Week. Feel free to invite your friends and family to participate as well! Be Blessed!
